Closet Essentials Series: Boots For Fall & Winter

I am starting a new style series! Each month I will be sharing all about different closet essentials. This month I am talking about boots for fall and winter.

My goal with this style series is to help you cultivate a wardrobe you truly love by filling it with pieces that are versatile, easy to wear, and will last for seasons to come. So lets talk about boots…

The Bootie

The bootie is a great transitional boot from summer to fall. But can also be worn year around. This style boot can be worn casually with a pair of jeans and a graphic tee, or dressed up with a skirt, or dress. This is a classic style boot is worth investing in, to last you many years. Plus it will never go out of style! Buy a well made pair now, and wear them for years to come.

Here are a few of my favorite styles of booties…

The Rain Boot

A necessary boot for several months of the year. They are very functional, keeping your feet dry & clean, but also can look really cute with the right outfit.

Here are some great rain boot options.

The Winter Boot

If you live in a place where it gets cold in the fall/winter then a pair of winter boots is a necessity for your closet. But you don’t have to sacrifice style for comfort. There are so many cute and stylish winter boots that are sure to keep you feet warm in the winter time.

Here are some warm & fashionable winter boot options…

The Over The Knee Boot (also known as OTK)

The over the knee boot is a very feminine, flattering boot option that helps elongate your legs and looks amazing with basically everything (jeans & tee, a dress, leggings, or skirt)! I personally prefer a flat heel with style boot. They are more practical for my lifestyle as a work-at-home mama, and they are manageable to wear all day when I am on my feet!

Here are a few great options for your wardrobe…

The Tall Boot (these are making a come back)

The tall boot is another very classic style boot. Some have heels, some don’t. It is more of a personal preference. This style boot comes to just below the knee. This is more of a dressier style boot, but easily be dressed down with a pair of jeans, and casual top/sweater. The riding boot is a style of tall boots with a flat heel…so depending on what kind of boot your wanting, the heel height makes a difference in the look of the boot.

This is a great style boot if you work outside the home and get more dressed up. Or if you looking to make more of a style statement with fall/winter.
