I am definitely a shorts girl in the summer time! They are comfy, casual, and easy to wear. Since I basically wear them almost daily I like to invest in a few pairs that will be my go-to’s all season long. One’s that are flattering, appropriate (I am a mama and have no business wearing shorts that are too short) and that I feel good wearing.

So I thought I would share my 3 go-to style shorts for summer….

1. The High-Waisted short; These babies are a mom’s best friend! They flatter the “pooch” area so nicely. And give you a tiny looking waist! This pair is non-distressed which I like. They can be worn dressed up or down….and look adorable with a tucked in, stripe tank. I promise you will LOVE this high waited style, if you have not tried it yet!!

2.The White Short: White is classic, timeless, and chic. I like the edge this pair has with the fringe hem and slight distressing. These are a mid rise (so my crack won’t be hanging out when I bend over) I love these white shorts paired with a off the shoulder blouse and espadrille wedges for a fun night out look. They are also cute paired with graphic tee and slip on sneakers for simple, casual look. I would say if you are in between sizes in pants, I would always go up a size in shorts to ensure a good fit. Shorts always look better if they are slightly loose (the tighter they are, the more they show!!)

3. The Distressed Cut-Offs: These are my favorite everyday shorts! I love the frayed hem and heavier distressing. I love to pair these with a graphic tee or tank and my Birkenstock’s. Or dress them up with a feminine eyelet top, dressy sandals, a statement necklace and clutch for a date night out with my man. These are also great for throwing over my suit and heading to the pool with my kiddos!
